Third Quarter Growth
Our company Payne-Wilks Management sees very bright prospects in the Mid-Atlantic Region. After attending the DC Chamber of Commerce Banking and Finance Industry Forum (May 5, 2010) and listening to three area bank presidents discuss the impact of current financial and economic challenges on employment in DC, we have developed a new and creative solution to identify and recruit DC residents. The next 18 months appears promising for sustaining job growth only if more DC residents can be recruited and employed in the community. The banking and finance industry revenue may grow by as much as 47.5% this year if the industry remains open to creative solutions.

News on Fraud
According to an article in Fraud Magazine (May/June 2010) written by Joseph R. Dervaes, CFE, ACFE Fellow, CIA "Fraud comes in many shapes and sizes, and there can be a wide variety of attributes to pursue when searching for clues. Detection tools can include analytical procedures or scanning documents and accounting records. But sometimes we overlook the obvious." Dervaes states “You must continually observe your surroundings and listen to not only what staff members are saying (or not saying) but also the tone of these communications. If fraud is present, what employees are communicating (and not communicating) could point you to the heart of the problem."

Fighting the Lag
Payne-Wilks Management is good at investigating the lag indicators and moving past them to develop innovative solutions. We’re not your run-of-the-mill consulting firm that will tell you what you want to hear to satiate you. We are the type of firm that gives you the hard facts and provide effectual solutions that our competition would not even consider. We highlight the gaps that exist between the current state and the desired future-state to develop a bridge of solutions between the two. These steps allow us to bring about the internal change that alters the relationships between the components of the system within your organization.

Strategic Solutions
Because we are a solutions provider, we do more than just report our findings to management. We help management develop creative strategic solutions to unique problems. Our strategies include three key steps in moving a business from its current state to a desired future-scenario. We begin by meeting with the client to find out their strategic goals. We continue by observing and listing the characteristic factors of the present scenario. After an assessment is performed, we determine the factors required to execute the strategy and develop a plan to achieve the desired goal. The only client requirement is to perform at their standard operating level.
